John Miller

John Miller has both Bachelor and Master degrees in Education, and has been teaching since 1982. He has taught all levels of singers – elementary, middle school, and high school. For thirteen years he directed the adult Chancel Choir at Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church. His singing background includes dinner theatre, Vocal Jazz at UNC, barbershop, Opera Colorado, Colorado Chorale, and the Alpine Chorale.

For many years he has volunteered with Summer Harmony Camp, a summer a cappella intensive. He has been the Associate Director of Alpine Chorale since 1998, singing and conducting. He has produced 31 full scale high schools musicals, worked as a lighting designer, and taught acting classes at the high school level.

He lives in Arvada with his wife, Rose, and has two grown children, Nicholas and Daniel. Mr. Miller is a member of the American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA), and the National Association of Music Educators (NAfME).
